Discussions on the potential to create a carbon free corridor from Montreal to Chicago have been underway. While some groups have identified possible opportunities and challenges, this undertaking requires a truly multi-perspective analysis to properly identify feasibility, economic opportunity and risk, environmental benefits, and business cases for implementation. To address this, a Carbon Free Corridor Working Group has been formed and a series of workshops are being conducted to educate relevant stakeholders and identify possible collaborations and funding mechanisms to properly evaluate this initiative.
